Spicy Fruit Biscuits 


Serves 10–12


Ingredients :

175g/6oz butter softened

175g/6oz refined sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

1 egg

250g/9oz flour sifted

1 teaspoon mixed spice

1

⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon leaven

100g/4oz intermixture


• heat up the kitchen appliance to 180°C/350°F/Gas mark four. Line 2 baking trays

with baking parchment.

• employing a hand-held mixer, cream the butter and sugar along in an exceedingly little

bowl till lightweight and downlike. Add the vanilla essence and egg, and beat

until well combined. Transfer to an oversized bowl and add the sifted flour,

mixed spice, ginger and leaven.

mixture into 2 parts.
