Chilli Beef In Tortillas
Serves 6–8
Ingredients :
For the tortillas
850g/13
⁄4lb flour
4 teaspoons leavening
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons edible fat
The filling
3 tablespoons edible fat
1 giant onion, finely sliced
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon hot pepper powder
1 teaspoon paprika
850g/13
⁄4lb minced beef
1 sweet pepper, seeded and finely
chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
50g/2oz tomato purée
• to create the tortillas, combine the flour and leavening with the salt. Mix
in the oil employing a fork, then add enough lukewarm water to change you
to gather the dough into a ball along with your hands. Knead gently to sleek,
then leave coated within the bowl for a minimum of twenty minutes.
• Divide the dough into twenty-four balls, and roll out everyone on a gently floured
surface into a skinny hot cake, or flannel cake.
• Heat a non-stick cooking pan with none oil, and cook every flannel cake till
